Rose Gardens consists of two acres of land in the midst of cardamom plantations and is nestled in a perfectly calm and cool environment, surrounded by hills and dales, rivers and waterfalls. It is covered with spices and agricultural crops like cardamom, vanilla and all varieties of fruit trees including Lichi, Rumbutan, Strawberry and Amla and an equally large variety of flowering plants.

Rose gardens is almost a century old building erected with fine stones, tiled roof and wooden ceiling. The twin Ensuite rooms can accommodate two families. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with verandahs built in the traditional style and overlooking the lush native forest.

The farmhouse is owned and managed by Tomy Joseph and Rajee Tomy who belong to a traditional agricultural family in Kerala. They reside in the farmhouse along with their three children. Mr. Tomy Joseph is a post graduate in Botany who provides assistance in maintaining and developing various gardens in Munnar. He also maintains a variety of nurseries of flowering plants, herbal plants, fruits, etc. Mrs. Rajee Tomy is a graduate in Home Science.

The grasslands at Munnar provide great trekking routes to the nature lover. During these treks you come face to face with the spectacular beauty of the wilderness. The Home arranges for short & long trekking trips of different durations as per the convenience of the visitors.

They conduct complimentary Cooking classes for the guests. Mrs. Rajee Tomy will introduce you to the nuances of Kerala cooking. You get to do it along with others who share your passion for food, in a relaxing environment. All of the recipes of the food prepared during the classes are provided alongside. Catering classes are offered in basic, popular Kerala dishes with special focus on the non vegetarian items and include a wide variety of traditional Kerala cuisine such as Chappathy, Appam, Rice noodles, fish curry, chicken dishes, cutlets, etc. The course duration and timings are flexible to suit the comfort and convenience of the guests. Their preference for vegetarian, non vegetarian are also considered in Cooking classes.
